Hi Everyone!

I started kindergarten at Huxford Elementary School and graduated from there in the sixth grade.  I then went to ECMS and continued through to graduate from ECHS in 1995. After graduation, I started working at United Bank in Atmore, Al.  I worked at the bank for nearly 15 years.  During my time there, I enrolled in the fast track program at the University of Mobile to pursue my degree in education.  I graduated in 2010 with my Bachelors in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I did my student teaching at Rachel Patterson Elementary School. I taught third grade at A.C. Moore Elementary and first grade at Rachel Patterson Elementary.  This will be my second year at Excel!  I am currently working on becoming Nationally Board Certified.

Teaching really is my passion. I always worked with kids growing up as a babysitter, youth coach, and mentor. I love it. 4th grade was my favorite year in grade school and I hope my students feel the same. My goal for my students is that they leave 4th grade smarter, more confident, and with a desire to learn more. I love my students and want the best for them just as I do my own children. I am so excited about another year at Excel!
